Britt Howard is an artist, designer, and manufacturing visionary redefining how creativity and production intersect. Howard’s practice is informed by nearly two decades of leading experimental design and creative fabrication at the manufacturing hub she founded in Portland, OR. This foundation allows her to scale concepts into ambitious sculptural works, immersive installations, and functional furnishings, all while maintaining a deep commitment to craft and community. Guided by her signature Big Idea Energy, she draws inspiration from the natural world and regenerative practices, experimenting with new and repurposed materials, collected objects, and the creative potential of her production houses to create works that are as inventive as they are deliberate—seamlessly blending imagination with purpose.

Howard is the founder and owner of Portland Garment Factory (PGF), an award-winning, full-service soft goods manufacturing company; Oregon Natural Fiber Mill (OnFM), a fiber mill specializing in natural bedding, upholstery, and bespoke soft furniture; and Studio Howard, her design practice and consultancy exploring soft sculpture and regenerative design.
